Adoption

Encouraging a woman to see her strength during an unplanned pregnancy

should be followed by helping her see her strength in making

the best decision - in freedom - about parenting or placement.

Though difficult, this, yes even this, can be a beautiful process for all involved.

This topic has a special place in my heart.

See below for your situation.

There's an unplanned pregnancy, and I am...

...the Pregnant Mom

A good decision about parenting vs placement for adoption should be done in all freedom, with all the information, and by considering the needs of all involved. I can guide you through a process to make this decision from the strongest part of you. You've got this!

...the Father

There's a lot to think about. And, this may not be easy. It might not seem like it, but the process of sorting this situation out can be very productive. It can change, in a good way, the trajectory of your life. There is a way to put this into right order. There's a way to look back at this time and know you made decisions from the strongest part of you.

...a Loved One of the pregnant parent

I have helped guide many friends, family members, and loved ones of pregnant moms through the process of support that respects all involved. Your support, offered in the right way, will make a big difference. Done incorrectly, it can have unintended consequences. There's hope for a beautiful future.

...a Priest, Religious, Ministry Leader, or other Professional who wants to lend support

Whether you are handling a specific situation or would like to be trained or guided in handling any potential situation of unplanned pregnancy for those you serve, I can help in a comprehensive way.  They need you, and I can help.

The issue of Parenting vs Adoption for...

A Pregnancy Support Center / Sidewalk Counselor /

Pro-life Activist

I  provide  comprehensive trainings about how to present the option of adoption. Whether you'd like guidance for a specific situation or general training for any type of situation you may encounter, I have the training for you or your organization. I was the manager of a pregnancy center, and have spoken to so many who wanted to want to present this option, but did not know how to do it well.  I'd love to work with you on this.

A Politician

Many life-affirming politicians stumble a bit when presenting a case for adoption or parenting, even when explaining all of the options regarding unplanned pregnancy. Many do not know that the tone, phraseology, and even paradigm they are using is off, though their commitment to helping others in person and in policy is solid. That's where I come in. It can be complicated to present life-affirming choices in this culture. You need to get the adoption presentation right.

Post-abortive or post-placement mother, father, or loved one

Post-abortion: Most women, whether currently pro-choice or pro-life, suffer from previous abortion experiences. If you would like a safe place to discuss this, including resources for further help, let me know.

Post-placement: If you need a safe place to discuss grief, regret, loss, or moving forward from the experience of placement of a child, contact me.

Researcher / Student

The discussion about making a parenting plan vs a placement plan for adoption, and how to offer support, can be offered incorrectly and correctly. What is different in how one speaks to a person in an unplanned pregnancy vs how one argues points regarding the topic theoretically. If for whatever reason, and from whatever perspective, you are interested in this topic, including those who have an academic interest, let me know.
